Spring has arrived in Kings Park in Perth and the wildflowers are out. Kangaroo paw flowers with their bright red stalks are most eye-catching, but look carefully and you can see other flowers like spider orchids.

Day #8, and the last day on the road, was around 600km from Kalgoorlie to Perth, following the Great Eastern Highway and the goldfields water pipeline that brings fresh water all the way from Perth.
