I found these solar and wind powered street lights around Kagurazaka district of Tokyo yesterday. They look pretty clever.
Boating on the moat
I’m having am enjoyable afternoon boating on the outer moat near Kagurazaka in the winter sunshine.
U-turn rush
I’ve got the middle seat of the middle block of seats for 10 hours for the return to Tokyo. It’s the “U-turn rush” when everyone is trying to get back home after the New Year holiday.

Jizake from Kyushu
My jizake (local sake) from Yufuin arrived this evening. I got the shop to courier it to me because it’s so much easier than lugging it back to Tokyo myself.
